There are certain places in the world that seem to draw in digital nomads from all over the world.
Generally they all have three things in common:
The cost of living is absurdly low.
There is fast internet and/or coworking and coliving spaces.
There are interesting things to do and see.
We’ve only scratched the surface of digital nomad hotspots, but we’ve already got a lot to share!
Chiang Mai is the classic cliche of digital nomad hotspots. It’s practically synonymous with digital nomading. And then there are places like Bali Indonesia and Penang Malaysia that later emerged as a place friendly to digital nomads.
More recently, European countries like Bulgaria, Lisbon, Georgia and Ukraine started attracting digital nomads looking for a place to spend time in Europe.
Coworkings and Colivings
And wherever digital nomads go coworking and colivings seem to pop up!
Coworkings are establishments with daily, weekly or monthly memberships that provide access to a facility with shared desks, tables, work areas, conference rooms and video conferencing booths. They have fast, reliable wifi and give digital nomads everything they need to work.
Colivings are shared housing where digital nomads share a house or a building and interact socially. Most colivings include some coworking amenities so digital nomads can ‘work from home.’
We are excited to share our experiences with digital nomad hotspots, coworking, colivings and shared digital nomad adventures!
