Priority Pass Lounge Malta

Our RyanAir Flexi Plus flight from Malta to Bristol left at 5:50 PM, so we arrived at the lounge a little before 4 PM looking for a small travel keto diet friendly snack and wifi to get some work done.

The lounge is large and has lots of windows that allow in natural light.

In fact, it’s one of the largest and nicest Priority Pass Lounges we have visited. Apparently we are not the only one who think so!

Malta Priority Pass Highly Reocmmended

Bear in mind, however, that Malta is a holiday destination so expect to find plenty of children in the lounge.

On our visit the children present in the lounge were well behaved with one notable exception of a parent who let their child treat the lounge as a playground for running and screaming.

Seating Areas

The La Valette Lounge in Malta Airport is huge. There is plenty of seating in several different seating areas and configurations: sofas and chairs for lounging, tables for eating and even 3 layflat-ish lounge chairs for rest.

So although it was busy the whole time we were in the lounge there were still plenty of empty seats in different choices of seating types.

The only exception were the 3 loungers where a pair of backpacks without apparent owners ‘reserved’ those seat the entire time we were in the lounge.

Priority Pass Lounge Malta Seating

lounge Outdoor terrace seating

The Priority Pass Lounge Malta has a feature that few airport clubs or lounges offer: a large outdoor terrace seating area!

Unfortunately it was raining when we visited the club so the terrace was packed up. But it was still open for those who wanted to brave the rain and/or have a smoke.

The terrace provides amazing views of the tarmac and runway.

Food in the Lounge

There are plenty hot food options in the lounge. And the cold snack selections at the lounge are also strong. And there are plenty of travel keto diet friendly options as well as carb-heavy options – if that’s what you’re into.

We weren’t terribly hungry so we just nibbled on some of the keto-friendly olive dips with some vegetables.

Beverages and Bar in La Valette Lounge

A wide variety of both soft drinks and alcoholic drinks are on offer in the La Valette Lounge at Malta Airport.

Soft Drinks

Self-serve coffee and tea, juices and can soft drinks are available including tap water with lemon, cold bottled water and room temperature bottled water (perfect for bringing along on your flight!).

Alcohol in the La Valette Lounge Malta

Alcohol in the La Valette Malta Airport VIP lounge is also self-serve.

And the alcohol selections are also varied and plentiful.

There are beer, wine and hard alcohol options.

Facilities In the Lounge

Bathrooms

There are multi-use male and female bathrooms in the lounge. The WCs are kept meticulously clean.

Computers

There are also four computer terminals in the lounge. And unlike at many airline lounges, the terminals were all on and functional with fast internet.

Wifi

WiFi speeds in the lounge are also excellent, both down and up.

Bottom Line – Malta Priority Pass Lounge

The Priority Pass Lounge Malta is one of the largest and nicest Priority Pass lounges we have visited.

The lounge offers a variety of complimentary drinks and alcohol options as well as plenty of comfortable seating to stretch out in.

But what really sets the La Valette Malta Priority Pass Lounge apart is the outdoor terrace seating. Perfect to grab a last bit of Maltese sunshine before boarding a flight.

The internet is also fast at the lounge. So we spent a little over an hour in the lounge snacking, relaxing and working.
