Our plan was to take the bus between Burgas Bulgaria and Sunny Beach Bulgaria.

But we had a VERY hard time finding information about it.

During our affordable luxury time in Burgas Bulgaria we tried to book bus tickets online. But the various online bus ticket agencies we tried kept erroring out.

We couldn’t even find the bus schedule between Burgas and Sunny Beach anywhere online.

Finally we decided that we would just pack up, walk to the bus station in Burgas and figure out how to get to Sunny Beach there…or not.

Buuuuut….then it started raining.

So we thought about it some more.

We remembered that we like affordable luxury travel….which does not include walking in a downpour to the bus station for a bus that might or might not be available.

So we booked a car from Burgas to Sunny Beach for about $28 US.

Turns out that was a big waste of money.

Simply look for the Number 22 Bus. Sometimes the Number 22 Bus between Burgas and Sunny beach looks like a city bus, sometimes it’s a tour bus.

Just look for the bus route ‘Burgas to Sunny Beach,’ ‘Sunny Beach to Burgas’ or the number 22 in the front windshield of the bus.

During the summer a Number 22 Bus from Burgas to Sunny Beach departs every 20 minutes or when it fills up, whichever comes first.

Same schedule on the Number 22 Bus from Sunny Beach to Burgas.

Again, the way to take the bus from Burgas to Sunny Beach or take the bus from Sunny Beach to Burgas is to just go to the bus station and find the Number 22 Bus.

The journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.

The cost for the bus trip between Burgas and Sunny Beach is 6 BGN or about $3.50 US.

You can pay at the bus station or pay as you get on the bus.
